Daniela Viotti - Westlake Club Champion

Westlake’s Club Champion for the second year running was 19 year old Daniela Viotti with gross scores of 82 and 80.
Westlake are very proud of Daniela as she has been awarded a place at Missouri University in America on a golf scholarship and will be starting her course in August.
Nadya Ritschewald takes Milnerton honours
Milnerton Club Championships were played over 36 holes on 2nd march 2010. Nadya Ritschewald, who was triumphant over the defending champion Zaandria Liebenberg, was presented her trophy by Club Captain Shaun Buchanan.
Yvette du Plessis wins her second Mowbray Club Championship
Mowbray Ladies Section played their Club Championships on the weekend of 13th and 14th February 2010. The weather conditions were perfect for golf and there was a good field of 73 entries.
The Championships were played over 36 holes of Strokeplay.
In the A division, Yvette du Plessis was the overnight leader on a score of 76, three shots ahead of Heather Todt and Traci van der Dussen who finished on 79 each. Lorraine Smit and Jacquie Rathfelder were one shot behind them on a score of 80 each.
Yvette, Traci and Heather played in the final three ball on Sunday with Lorraine, June Watson and Jacquie Rathfelder in the threeball ahead of them. Unfortunately for Traci she found some trouble on the 1st and 7th holes and fell out of contention. Heather and Lorraine both played steady golf and finished on a score of 160. Jacquie struggled with her putting but managed to hold on finished 4th on a score of 162. Yvette kept calm and shot a one under par 71 second round to finish on a score of 147 to become the Mowbray Ladies 2010 Club Champion. Well Done Yvette!
The B Division, handicaps 15 to 21, was won by one of our Prentice Members, Malika Allie on a score of 176 with Lynn Coetzee second on 179.
The C Division, handicaps 22 to 36, was won by another of our Prentice Members, Katia Shaff on a score of 187 with our Super Veteran, Wendy Georgeu in 2nd place on 191.
The A division nett was won by Heather Todt on 140. The B division nett was won by Malika Allie and in the C division, Katia Shaff and Mpho Bangiso shared the nett honours on a brilliant score of 135.
June Watson won the Veterans section on a score of 167. Margaret MacDonald won the Super Vets section on a score of 180.
The best nett in the Veterans section was Carol Price on 141 and in the Super Veterans section, Wendy Georgeu on 143
Durbanville's Kelly Erasmus in the spotlight again
Durbanville Golf Club Ladies Section held their club championships on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th February, and as is the norm at Durbanville the wind was not kind to us - the girls battled royally over the 2 days. There were some very good scores, especially from our youngest golfer Kelly Erasmus who came out tops on a gross score of 153, walking the competition by 32 shots.
In the B Division relative newcomer Helene Marais shot a gross 184, beating Mabel Ciolli by 2 shots. They also shared the nett prize off their 144.
C Division winner Val Gillespie had a good score of 199, 9 shots ahead of Biddy von Eckenbrecher. Val also took the nett prize.
Congratulations to all the winners and well done to all the girls that played over the 2 days.
